Frequently Asked Questions
Download & Installation
After completing your purchase, you'll receive an email with a download link within minutes. You can also log into your account at theproducerschool.com, go to your order history, and download your files from there at any time.
First, check your spam or junk folder — download emails sometimes end up there. If you still can't find it, make sure you used the correct email address at checkout. You can always log into your account to access your downloads directly. If you're still having trouble, email us at contact@theproducerschool.com with your order number.
Yes, absolutely. All your purchases are linked to your account. You can log in and re-download your files anytime — there's no download limit or expiration.
After downloading, unzip the file. Then simply drag and drop the samples into your DAW or copy them to your sample library folder. They work in any DAW that supports WAV files — no special installation needed.
Unzip the downloaded preset pack. Open Serum in your DAW, click the menu icon in the top-right corner, and select "Show Serum Presets Folder." Copy the .SerumPreset files into the appropriate folder (usually under Presets > User). Restart Serum, and your new presets will appear in the preset browser.
Open Serum 2 in your DAW, go to the preset menu, and select "Show Serum 2 Presets Folder." Copy the .SerumPreset files into the User folder. Restart Serum 2 and the presets will show up in the browser. Note: Serum 2 presets are NOT backwards compatible with Serum 1.
Each pack includes project files for FL Studio, Ableton Live, and/or Logic Pro. Unzip the project folder and open the .flp file (FL Studio), .als file (Ableton), or .logicx file (Logic Pro) directly in your DAW. Make sure you have the same or a newer version of the DAW installed.
This usually happens when the project can't find the sample files. Make sure you've extracted ALL files from the zip, and that the sample folders are in the same location as the project file. If your DAW asks you to locate missing files, point it to the extracted samples folder.
Licensing
Yes, 100%. All samples and loops in our packs are completely royalty-free. You can use them in any commercial or non-commercial music production without paying additional fees, royalties, or needing to credit us.
Yes. All presets are royalty-free. Any music you create using our presets is fully yours — you can release it commercially on any platform without any royalty obligations.
The project files are intended for educational and personal use only. You can study the arrangement, sound design, and mixing techniques, but you cannot use the project files (or parts of them) as the basis for commercially released music. The individual samples and presets within the project files ARE royalty-free when used in your own original productions.
Absolutely. Our royalty-free license covers all streaming and distribution platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, Beatport, Bandcamp, Tidal, Amazon Music, and any other platform.
Yes. You can use our samples and presets in sync licensing, film scores, advertisements, video games, podcasts, and any other commercial project.
No. The license is for the individual purchaser only. Each person who wants to use the sounds needs their own license. Sharing, redistributing, or uploading the raw files is not permitted.
No. You may not repackage, resell, or include our raw samples, loops, or presets in any sample pack, sound library, or preset bank — whether free or paid. This is the only major usage restriction.
No credit is required. However, we always appreciate a shout-out if you'd like to support us!
Compatibility & Software
All our samples and loops are in 24-bit WAV format, which is universally compatible with every DAW — including FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, Bitwig, Reason, Pro Tools, and any other music production software.
This depends on the pack. Our newer packs (Afterhours, Ignite, Overdrive, Tantra, Oblivion) include Serum 2 presets and require Xfer Serum 2. Our older packs include Serum 1 presets which work with any version of the original Serum. Always check the product page — it clearly states whether the presets are for Serum or Serum 2.
No. Serum 2 presets only work in Serum 2. If a pack specifies "Serum 2 Presets," you need Serum 2 installed. Serum 1 presets, however, do work in Serum 2.
We recommend FL Studio 21 or newer, Ableton Live 11 or newer, and Logic Pro 10.7 or newer for full compatibility with our project files. Most project files are made in the latest version at the time of release.
Yes. MIDI files are universal and work in every DAW. Simply drag and drop the .mid files into your project and assign any instrument or synth to them.
